Peters University and William Paterson University as well as you college for an enormously discounted Freight or internships play students in hospitals law firms the veterinary offices eaters news agencies and many other Hands-On do you understand will provide high school graduates have gone on Notre Dame Duke and mighty Stephens and many more several attend the prestigious Ivy League schools of Cornell Brown Columbia in the past we all can students have traveled on educational school-sponsored trips to France foland Spain and Germany we are looking forward to going back to Europe for the trip to Paris and Madrid black tourmaline Alyssa and I am the high school French teacher I also teach middle school friends sequel of my courses is to make learning French fun relevant and gives students the opportunity to practice with their peers cancel my friends to chorus is corresponding with a school in southern France and visiting come the fall my friends club offers activities that are an extension of what we doing last room we have things like movie night French movie night fundraisers for organizations like Unistaff field trips conversational cafes we call it in so much more lastly will be offering trips to Paris and Madrid in the spring of 2024 so I look forward to meeting your children and making learning fun thank you, and we are consistently in the top 50 New Jersey schools in the top 10% Nationwide over 17 years and counting the lighthouse District by the state of New Jersey for our progress and also the New Jersey Department of vacation RV in high school as a digital star school for our mindful integration of digital learning with our students and we received recognition for attaining the highest score ever for a high school by stainable New Jersey for the schools environmentally conscious approach to educate Dana Bellamy school is home to the reigning Hudson County teacher of the year Ariel Babcock this is Babcock is a very important part of the family and we are all very proud of her accomplishments what makes akademiks at Weehawken High School really so is that all of our classes are taught by dedicated and passionate teachers from classes that are the students core classes to amazing electives like broadcast journalism culinary and Aviation and embassies are taught by experts in their field in addition to providing a top-notch education Weehawken High School is light-years ahead of the other school districts and regard school safety each year we claimed by the state for it's often training other school districts Police Department which is one thing about Jack's all to ensure optimal safe all visitors must enter through a bulletproof security basketball and especially in your system is in place for visitors who have background checks performed on site security and safety are our top priorities because of the proximity to New York City and Broadway it is only natural for Weehawken high schools have an affinity for music and theater and that's 100% true are words ending marching band 2015 state go to National Championship over the past nine years they've successfully 1/20 Yamaha cup titles and our staple at all local and County events there without question the most successful program as we often High School the theater art program has also been traditionally very strong is Weehawken collaboration Weehawken High School theater has wow crowds with performances like The Little Mermaid musical grease Romeo and Juliet and currently the sister asked the students build the sets and props help with cost you found in production I just asked to give kids a truly hands-on experience hi I'm Jay Solomon I am the theater teacher here at Weehawken High School the Weehawken High School theater program is both a mix of curricular and extracurricular programming during the school day we have 6 theater classes that students can take from 7th grade up to 12th grade we also have an outstanding extracurricular programming in which we do three production annually we do fall play in November we do a Big Spring musical in March and we end the year with student-directed one-act plays called Weehawken shorts not every student is into music or Athletics but those students we have 42 clubs for students to join our students are also able to join a number of different clubs and organizations that we have here at Weehawken high school if there is not one that students are interested in they can create their own club Faceoff and student interest Eclipse range from topics from academic academic team and mock trial diversity such as social discourse and the GSA Alliance the socially conscious such as the Red Cross Club lot. Ship and the bee Club hi Miss McFarland on the art teacher at Weehawken High School in the art room we have a lot of classes for your students we have a PR which is college-level class Realty part 1 also they are only have a few clubs leave the bee Club the climate Club lost which is lunch on Tuesdays where we make lunches for the homeless feel to have the butterfly Club coming in the spring and the so much more so if your child's interested in club come see me in the art room a robotics Club in Esports team tournaments all over New York and New Jersey a Brother's at OverWatch the academic snowboards provided breakfast and lunch and then gave the club a mountain to themselves for the entire day they also provide instruction for Sears snowboarding and cross-country don't forget about the oldest didn't run TV news production in the world that's right the first of its kind anywhere it was started right here in Weehawken in 1982 and has been producing specials and our state-of-the-art TV studio ever since last play this current school year begin is the class on Aviation and Trunks and now we have our very own flight simulator the only School in New Jersey with one Weehawken high school offers 18 Varsity Sports boys and girls soccer cross country girls volleyball football girls and boys basketball girls fight wrestling bowling softball cheer leading baseball track and field girls and boys tennis and girls and boys lacrosse conjunction public high school on ice hockey it is by far the most Force opportunity of any school in our conference I am Brian Fisher on the athletic director here at Weehawken high school I'd like to talk a little bit about our Sports programs we offer 17 Varsity Sport the three seasons and fall winter and spring and many of our athletes participate in a sport during each one of those Seasons like to talk a little bit about our recent successes during our spring season our softball team with the group 1 North to State section Champion we're also planning on sending our baseball and softball teams down to Florida to Disney World to participate in the special training trip in March I guess we are cross country team had great at this past fall Keanu Ray was the group one state champion cross country Runner Astrid paparella was the Hudson County Champion cross country Runner this past season also our football team add an amazing turnaround season this year and they won the union division championship which is the first time ever in school history we look forward to a continued success with your children as they become members of the Hawken High School Community thank you program our boys teams have collected a state championship for the seventh most in Jersey and 15 state finals appearances if you had his best run of success reeling off four consecutive conference free chips and the first-ever section finals appearance in 2019 they're far from our only successful programs from 2012 to 2014 are boys baseball team made three straight Hudson County tournament semifinal appearances and one finals appearance and our girls softball team won their first camp open State title this past year or girls cross-country team has the number one number two and number six ranks runners in Hudson County all our boys give me the number to run the 2011 to 2015 the football team is ranked one of the top offensive teams in the state of New Jersey and then head back to back Austin County male athlete of the Year this fall season was enormously successful football team was record-setting they set a record for points in a game versus beerus with a defensive team recorded four shutouts with Tide record and is the most since 1970 they were second in the state for the festive points allowed with 53 Which is less than a touchdown a game and they won the school's first-ever league title my name is Bill can't be on the head coach at Weehawken high school for football please we had one of the best years in our school's history when it came to the football program and we're very proud of that success we want to continue to build on that success moving forward if you're in or if your child I should say is interesting participating in athletics you could not be in a better place but if they want to be challenged and become better after that challenge please encourage them to join the football program at we all the high school thank you if all our girls cross-country team placed second overall in Hudson County the highest finish ever a Short afro became the first we all can high school girls cross-country Runners when the County Title won't be on the right place second for the boys and girls varsity team finish in the top 8 also crowned the overall group one state champion our first-ever and qualified for the meet of Champions also our first ever you finally are faulty Sports video game team won the county championship in two areas OverWatch and multiverses and outstanding fall season 4 currently an amazing 13 former student-athletes are playing Collegiate Sports including seven at the missions wanted to and currently has 14 player pitching in the Texas Rangers organization not only our team's competitive but they're also the best rap exclusively by Adidas as you can see we all can high school has it all safety Sports Club Music Theater and above all solid academics Weehawken High School offer soon is the best chance for successful future to say yes to Weehawken I did and it has made all the difference
