Peer Leadership Charity Champions

Weehawken High School Peer Leadership, under the leadership of Mrs. Mantineo, has won the Charity Champions competition and has received a check for $1000 to give to their chosen charity: The Garden State Episcopal Community Development Corporation.

The Charity Champions program promotes volunteerism in the community and gives organizations a chance to raise money for high school-selected charities. Students commit time and effort to raising funds, competing against other schools and giving back to their communities.

This year Optimum will honor the town of Weehawken and its students by presenting a check in a ceremony on March 4th at WHS.
