This month’s hero started with a small idea to help others and has become a project with a big impact.
It all started last spring when a Weehawken student decided that she wanted to make a difference. Before the year was through she and her crew had made over 200 lunches for the working homeless.
Her program has expanded even more this year and she has over 30 people helping to make food for homeless people in Hudson County. This year inspirational quotes were added to her lunches. I am personally inspired by the dedication and determination that she has shown through her lunch program. Weehawken High School’s student council has chosen Jaslie Fernandez as your December Weehawken Hero!
