As you are aware, we have been celebrating Hispanic Heritage month here at TRS.  Students have read some wonderful stories by Hispanic authors, built soccer stadiums as an Engineering project, looked at weather in different Hispanic countries and so much more. The students and teachers have really enjoyed learning about each other and it has been a great experience.  

We would like to culminate this month’s activities with our First Annual TRS Hispanic Heritage Parade at Louisa Park on October 6, 2023 at 1pm.  The rain date for our parade is October 10, 2023, also at 1pm.  We are asking that students dress in traditional garb or shirts for this special event.  We know that it is Spirit Week, so they can wear this instead of the pajamas OR they may wear their Hispanic clothing on top and pajamas on the bottom!  Students will have the opportunity to walk with the flags we created for this event.  Non Hispanic students will join parents as the audience and cheer on their peers.
