English IV (Period 7)

Course Objectives:

This course is designed to develop a personal appreciation of world literature, strong written and oral skills and skills in literary research and college level writing. Throughout the course, students will be studying works from a variety of genres and cultural backgrounds while adhering to New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards.

Quarterly Assessments count as 3 test grades for MP1, MP2 and MP3. 

The 1984 Research Paper counts as 5 Test Grades for the 4th Marking Period as well as the 4th Marking Period Quarterly Assessment- due to the cumulative aspect of the assignment and the great effort required to produce the paper.  

All papers not submitted to Turnitin.com will be given a zero.
