Curriculum

The Weehawken High School, in providing a thorough and efficient educational program, has instituted a core curriculum to give more direction to both parents and students for course selection with particular goals for higher education or job selection.

In the Advanced Placement Courses we prepare students to sit for the following AP exams: Biology, Economics, English Literature, English Language, French Language, Calculus, Spanish Language, Statistics, and United States History. Independent research in many subject areas is also offered to students.

College Preparatory and honors classes are offered in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.

A World Language is offered to students from grades seven through twelve.

A formal Academically Talented Program exists for seventh and eighth grade students.

Weehawken High School houses three technology labs, a STEAM lab and a state of the art media center.

Electronic or virtual courses are an option for students with particular interests with a specialized independent study option.

Finally, a varied selection of electives is available to all students.
