Weehawken High School

I'm so pleased to assume the principalship of Weehawken High School and want to welcome you all back to school for what is sure to be an exciting and eventful new year! Under the guidance of our new superintendent, Dr. Robert Zywicki, our administrators and teachers are returning with a renewed sense of purpose and a clear vision that will help every student at WHS succeed.
Every student will receive a new Chromebook to use while he or she is a student at WHS, but what's more exciting is what will be done with it. Technology will be integrated into every grade and subject area, and students will have ample opportunity for project-based learning activities.
New subjects have been added to our curriculum, including robotics, code.org, and Minecraft, and our STEAM program, in its second year, continues to be successful.
Teachers attended workshops throughout the summer to work on such exciting topics as curriculum mapping, formative assessments, the Middlebury language program, new social studies approaches, and Google Apps for education (GAFE). There is a definite sense of excitement in the air -- Weehawken High School is THE place to be!
