Google Classroom
Look to the Google Classroom specific to your class period to find announcements, classwork, documents, readings, and homework. Students are expected to submit assignments via Google Classroom by the due date posted.
Please note that absence does not excuse a student from submitting work due, but we can work together to ensure completion of assignments in a timely manner. If extra time to complete assignments is anticipated, please alert Ms. Vitovic in advance.
Parents/Guardians: it is possible to join your student's Google Classroom as a guardian to receive email summaries. More information can be found here, or please reach out to me via email so I can offer you an invitation.

Grading and Lateness Policies for
English 8 Honors and English III
The grading system is points-based: grades are determined by totaling all earned points of all assignments during a marking period. Conferencing is a regular part of class to encourage your progress toward mastering skills of the course. Assignments due on Google Classroom will have specific due times for submitting work; make sure to “Turn in” your assignment by that posted time. Assignments turned in late will receive points off; if an assignment is turned in more than one week late, it will receive the minimum passing grade. Some assignments will be graded and offered feedback on Google Classroom, but Realtime will show all assignments and grades. If you have not completed an assignment by the time I have graded it, a “0” will be issued in Realtime until you make up the assignment.
