We have officially started our first book of the year! The Outsiders is the story of a rough and tumble group of teenage boys. It is a modern classic that all of my classes have loved. I am so excited to teach it again! Stay gold, everyone!

Soon we will be discussing our exciting new summer reading book. In the Sea there are Crocodiles tells the story of an Afghani refugee and his flight from terrorism. It parallels with the current refugee crisis in Europe. We will follow Enaiat's journey from Afghanistan to Italy and learn a lot along the way.

New Beginnings!

Welcome to 7th grade everyone!
