The Theater Arts Program is thriving at Weehawken High School. Our theater program offers students in grades 7-12 the experience of acting and working with professional directors and choreographers from New York City in all facets of drama and musical theater. Students can participate in elective Theater classes such as Acting, Playwriting, and Theater Production.  We have formed a drama club that coordinates all productions, field trips, and drama festival work.  Students are given the opportunity to participate in our annual winter drama and spring musical theater production. Students work on the stage as actors and behind the scenes as set designers, lighting and sound technicians and stagehands in order to create a full scale theatrical production. Past shows include “Grease”, “Bye, Bye, Birdie”, “Guys and Dolls”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Oliver”, “Cinderella”, “The Wiz”, “Annie”, “Anything Goes” and “The Music Man.
